Baby P scandal was not my fault, insists Shoesmith
The Newtownabbey woman at the centre of the Baby P scandal has again refused to accept any responsibility for the toddler's death.
Sharon Shoesmith was at the helm of Haringey Council Children's Services in London in 2007 when 17-month-old Peter Connelly died after suffering more than 50 injuries over an eight-month period at the hands of his guardians.
In an interview on Radio 4's The Blame Game tomorrow, she tells former MI5 head Eliza Manningham-Buller: "I find the word culpable very, very hard to handle.
"I don't think I could ever have regarded myself as culpable in the death of a child and carry on living."
