Bailed child porn accused banned from internet

An alleged internet pervert accused of distributing indecent images of children being abused has been released from court.

Appearing at Lisburn Magistrates Court in a black coat and open-neck shirt, Neil Cunningham (24) spoke to confirm that he understood the four charges.

Cunningham, from Glebe Manor in Hillsborough, faces charges that on May 17 this year he possessed and made indecent photographs of children and also that he distributed or showed indecent photographs of children being abused.

It is also alleged Cunningham possessed images of an extreme pornographic nature.

A police officer said he could connect Cunningham to the charges. District Judge Rosemary Watters released Cunningham on his own bail of £500 and imposed an additional condition which prohibits him from using any electronic device with internet capabilities.

The case was adjourned until January 20 next year when a full file is expected to be placed before the court.
