Bake Off's Ruby tears into chefs' 'elitist food world'
Great British Bake Off runner-up Ruby Tandoh has called on celebrity chefs to celebrate the "joy of food".
Tandoh, who appeared on series four of the show, hit out at the "elitist, selfish, fatphobic food world", accusing chefs and writers of exploiting the popularity of superfood for profit.
In a series of posts on Twitter, she slammed Jamie Oliver, Lorraine Pascale, and the Hairy Bikers for "swinging from 'comfort food to superfood and back again whenever the price is right".
She also criticised Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge's book, The Dopamine Diet, saying it was "the height of self-serving, disingenuous 'makeover' food books".
