Ban breach sex assault man jailed
A west Belfast man convicted of sexually assaulting a female hospital worker has been jailed again for flouting a ban on contacting her.
At Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday Sean McGettigan was ordered to serve five months in jail for breaching a restraining order.
The 31-year-old, of Lenadoon Avenue, was banned from going near the victim at the Royal Victoria Hospital after convictions for a sexual assault and threat to kill against the same woman.
McGettigan was arrested again after an incident at the hospital on May 21. He was there trying to make contact with the woman without any effort to receive medical treatment, according to the charge against him.
