Sapper Aaron Glass from Bangor was amongst fifty-five new recruits to celebrate the completion of his Territorial Army basic training at a Passing Out Parade at Ballykinler TA Training Centre recently — a far cry from his usual civilian role as a drainage engineer.

Aaron sealed his success by clinching the title of ‘Champion Recruit’. Families, friends and employers were on hand to see ‘their’ Territorial pass out in full military style following a parade and formal inspection by Brigadier George Norton, Commander of 38 (Irish) Brigade.

Brigadier Norton congratulated the ‘class of 2009’ on its achievements and on the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the new recruits as they tackled the first stage of TA membership.
