Bank theft manager in court again
A former bank manager who was jailed earlier this year for stealing more than £400,000 from Ulster Bank and its customers was back in court yesterday.
Grace Harshaw (51), from Annaghbane Road, Loughbrickland, was the manager of Ulster Bank in Tandragee.
Between February 2009 and October 2009 she stole £434,500 from the bank’s vault, accounts and through fictitious personal loans.
In June she was jailed for six months after being convicted of a total of 33 charges.
Yesterday Harshaw appeared in court in Newry regarding over £50,000 outstanding after the remainder had been repaid. It is not yet known whether the bank will pursue civil proceedings in an attempt to recoup the money.
