A 39-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Basil McAfee in north Belfast in 2013.

Basil McAfee was discovered in the living room of his home in Henderson Avenue on December 20, 2013.

He was the victim of an attack involving an axe and a knife.

He was last seen alive on the evening of December 19.

This is the fourth arrest so far in the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector John McVea said the suspect was detained in the north of the city this morning and is being questioned at a Belfast police station.

He was later released by police on bail pending further enquiries.
