BBC Proms' Titanic return as stars sparkle on slipway
A score of classical greats will fill the night skies over Titanic Quarter as Belfast welcomes the return of the BBC Proms this autumn.
A host of internationally acclaimed musicians will perform with the Ulster Orchestra against the historic landmark of the Titanic Slipway on September 12.
The live musical programme combines a classical and contemporary repertoire and is part of the UK-wide Last Night of the Proms being beamed to television sets across the UK from the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The Belfast gig takes place simultaneously, alongside similar concerts at London's Hyde Park, Scotland and in Wales, ensuring each UK region is singing from the same songsheet for the Proms' grand finale.
The entire concert will also be live throughout the evening on BBC Radio Ulster.
Tickets are free and will be allocated following a random draw with applications starting today at 9pm until Wednesday, July 15 at bbc. co.uk/tickets.
