Belfast artists to discuss influence of city

Some of Belfast's leading artists are to return to the city to discuss how the place influenced their work.

Composer Neil Martin, playwright Owen McCafferty and novelist Glenn Patterson will appear at the Black Box next Wednesday.

It is part of a project known as Snow Water which examines the emerging Northern Ireland from an artistic point of view

This will be the first of a series of local and international events and collaborations involving music and literature, including events at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, Writers' Camps, and a conference and festival in summer 2016.

The event, The Artist, will be staged during Queen's University's Festival of Collaborative Humanities which runs from October 12-16. It is supported by the Institute of Collaborative Humanities at Queen's University.

Oliver Cole, Irish musician and one-time frontman for rockers Turn, will play live.
