Belfast hit-and-run: Four men released in suspected murder bid probe
Four men arrested over a hit and run in west Belfast have been released to allow police to further investigate the incident.
A man and woman, both in their 20s, were struck by a black BMW shortly after 2.30am as they walked along the Andersonstown Road near the Kennedy Centre on Tuesday.
Police said the car failed to stop and they are treating the incident as suspected attempted murder.
The victims were taken to hospital for treatment for a number of injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
A short time after the incident a black BMW, believed to be the one involved in the incident, was found abandoned in Gransha Park where it had struck two parked cars.
Four men aged 27, 28, 28 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been released.
