Belfast man convicted of benefit fraud fined
Belfast man Wayne Ferguson was convicted at Magistrates' Court on Tuesday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
Mr Ferguson (36) of Lucerne Parade, Belfast claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £2,202 while failing to declare employment. He was fined £400 plus £40 costs.
He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
