Belfast man in court accused of attack and kidnapping
A man appeared in court today accused of carrying out an attack and kidnapping in Belfast.
Paul Creighton faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and taking Bryan Hamilton against his will by force.
The 43-year-old accused, of Tates Avenue, Belfast, is further charged with taking a Nissan Primera car without consent and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
All of the alleged offences were committed in the city on May 16.
As Creighton made a first appearance before Belfast Magistrates' Court, a detective investigating the case said she could connect him to the charges.
A prosecution lawyer asked for a four-week adjournment in the case.
He said: "This is a serious matter. A full file has been requested from police."
Creighton was released on continuing bail to return to court on July 5.
