One of Belfast's best known restaurateurs got what appears to be the standard treatment for chefs - but something a little out of the ordinary for the rest of us - as a birthday surprise, by finding his car covered in cling film.

Niall McKenna who owns James Street South, Hadskis and the recently launched Cast and Crew was celebrating his birthday on Friday when his friends played the trick on him.

All but the wing mirrors and wheels were covered to maintain the car's freshness.

Posting the image on social media he said: "Nothing like a chef's practical joke".

Mr McKenna has been behind a hob since he was 16 and also runs the ever-popular Cookery School.
