Belfast traffic chaos: Multiple crashes causing long delays
A two-vehicle crash on the M1 motorway caused long delays for drivers attempting to leave Belfast on Friday.
The incident happened on the M1 Westbound near the Applegreen M1 motorway services.
Traffic was congested back to Broadway.
The M1 countrybound has now been fully reopened to traffic.
A second unrelated crash on the M2 near Arthur Bridge has been cleared to the hard shoulder.
However delays remain from M2 Foreshore leaving Belfast.
In a third incident police say that a crash on the Upper Newtownards Road close to Stormont Park affected drivers heading towards Dundonald.
Meanwhile part of the Kilrea Road in Maghera is closed following a two-vehicle collision. Diversions are in place on the Culnady Road and Keady Road.
