Belfast's St George’s Market add new festive dates
Belfast's St George’s Market is to open for six extra trading days in the run-up to Christmas.
The popular venue will now open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the two weeks before Christmas — trading from 10-4pm on December 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21.
It will open as normal on Friday, Saturday and Sundays, including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, but will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
St George’s Market is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions. It was built between 1890 and 1896 and is considered one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland.
It has been voted for numerous local and national titles and awards for its fresh, local produce and great atmosphere.
Smithfield Market also will be open from 1-6pm on each Sunday from now until Christmas, and until 9pm on Tuesday December 20 and Thursday December 22. It will be closed on Boxing Day.
