Belfast's Sunday Life picks up prestigious newspaper of the year title
Belfast-based Sunday Life has been named the newspaper of the year at the Regional Press Awards.
The Life, part of the INM group, saw off the Eastern Daily Press and Sunday Post in the award for best daily or Sunday newspaper above a circulation of 20,000.
The judges, in the awards organised by the Society of Editors, praised the Life for consistently high standards and "a clear investment in quality journalism".
The Derby Telegraph won the award for the daily or Sunday newspaper with a circulation below 20,000.
Awards for weekly newspapers of 2016 went to the newly-established Cambridge Independent (circulation below 15,000) and the Cumberland News (above 15,000).
