A fight reportedly broke out this morning as a large crowd of music fans jostled for a spot in a queue to get tickets to Belfast music festival Belsonic.

The annual music festival is set for a major revamp after organisers confirmed it is relocating to the city's landmark Titanic site.

Among the headline acts lined-up are British singer Ellie Goulding, DJ David Guetta and dance music legend Tiesto.

The Belfast Telegraph understands a fight broke out over a spot in the queue outside DV8/Ticketmaster in Belfast and has seen photos which show the scuffle resulted in a girl suffering a bloodied nose.

A spokeswoman for the PSNI confirmed that there was a report to police of a large group of people in front of DV8/Ticketmaster at around 8.40am.

"Police attended and gave some advice to the store on managing the crowd."

Belsonic spent its previous eight years at the Custom House Square in Belfast city centre but the wave of new acts, which also includes Biffy Clyro, Stereophonics and Bring Me The Horizon meant organisers had to find a more suitable site.

The festival is also being brought forward to June from its usual August slot.

Tickets for Belsonic at Titanic Belfast went on sale this morning from at 9am, priced from £29.50, from belsonic.com. Ticketmaster outlets and ticketmaster.ie.
