The biggest local government trade union has decided to accept a two-year pay offer.

Unison said there will be no further consultations with members in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The GMB has also accepted the deal, while Unite is currently consulting its members.

An Employers' side spokesman said: "We're pleased with Unison's decision and hope that Unite will soon follow suit so that our hard-working staff can soon be able to receive the pay rise that they deserve."
