Bipolar sex pest fondled himself in front of girl
A 53-YEAR-OLD bipolar sufferer with little or no insight into his offending has been jailed for two years.
He was also put on the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years and barred from working with children or vulnerable adults.
Belfast Crown Court heard that Joseph James McMaster, with an address at Knockbracken Healthcare Park in Belfast, saw nothing wrong with touching himself in front of a youngster, or of attempting to burn his neighbour's flat.
Judge Kinney said McMaster had no memory of acting as he did, but reportedly said he did not feel it would do any harm to the young girl.
McMaster, who had shown little remorse, had also complained that having indecent images of children was legal in New York, and that the youngsters portrayed were only 'models'.
Judge Kinney, who said McMaster had a dangerous rationalisation to his offending, also dismissed the arson attack on a neighbour's home in which he set fire to the front door. His neighbour had complained about him playing his music too loudly.
