Boy (11) treated in hospital after liquid thrown over his face by older child
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after an 11-year-old boy was assaulted and had liquid poured over his face in north Belfast.
The incident happened in the Oldpark Road area at around 9pm on Thursday December 11.
At this stage it is not known what the liquid was.
Inspector Roy Watton said the child was treated in hospital for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
“The young man who was assaulted also had a liquid poured or sprayed over his face during this incident and has been treated in hospital for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening", he said.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Police at Tennent Street on the non-emergency number 101.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
