Boys aged 12 and 14 rescued off Belfast Black Mountain after 45 minute police helicopter search
Three young people have been rescued off the top of Black Mountain.
The three boys, two aged 12 and one aged 14, were cold but otherwise unharmed by their 45 minute ordeal.
At around 9.45pm on Thursday, police received a report that three young boys had become stuck on Black Mountain in west Belfast.
The police helicopter was tasked to conduct a search of the mountain and located the boys shortly before 10.30pm.
The helicopter landed a short distance away and a member of the aircraft crew assisted the boys to safety.
They were then airlifted to a nearby sports pitch where they were checked over by an ambulance crew before being collected by family members.
