Brawl man's sentence deferred for brawl outside Belfast's Mono nightclub
A 27-year-old man who became involved in a drunken fracas outside a Belfast nightclub has had his sentence deferred for six months at Belfast Crown Court.
Judge Corinne Philpott QC told Cillian Morgan, from Warren Gardens in Lisburn, that his behaviour during the "free-for-all" was "disgraceful."
Crown prosecutor Joseph Murphy said Morgan was arrested on a charge of affray after a large group of people became involved in a fight outside the Mono nightclub at around 3am on November 7, 2011.
Police footage showed Morgan punching another man during the mass brawl.
Mr Murphy also told the court that at the time of the offence, Morgan was in breach of two suspended sentences.
Deferring sentencing for six months, the judge ordered that during this period Morgan attend and comply with the Probation Service.
