Break in at Co Down primary school

A safe containing money and a laptop has been stolen from a school in Co Down.

Police are investigating a report of a break in at St Patrick’s Primary School in Holywood.

Chief Inspector Gerry McGrath said: "Entry was gained to the school sometime between 5pm on Thursday 23rd April and 8am on Friday 24th April.

"It’s believed a safe containing money and a laptop have been taken.

"Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at the school overnight or anyone with any information that could assist the investigation can contact investigating officers on the non-emergency number 101."
