The Co Down golf course showcased to a worldwide audience at the Irish Open is set to feature in a new TV programme by US broadcaster CNN International.

Various courses along the Wild Atlantic Way feature in the programme, called Living Golf, as well as Royal County Down where Rory McIlroy hosted last week's Irish Open and Stackstown Golf Club where Padraig Harrington honed his craft.

The broadcast includes an interview with the three-time Major winner Harrington at Stackstown. Harrington tells the programme he practised at the course as a child every day "until it got dark". The programme is presented by former RTE man Shane O'Donoghue and airs today at 10.30am.

The show comes after McIlroy was spotted being put through his paces in his home town of Holywood. It is understood he was filming an ad for his sponsors Nike.
