Bullet sent to Co Derry primary school 'outrageous and deeply disturbing situation'
A bullet sent to a Co Londonderry primary school has been condemned as an "outrageous and deeply disturbing situation".
It's understood the bullet was posted to Tobermore Primary School, Magherafelt, in a letter.
It's believed the letter did not target any child at the school.
Mid-Ulster DUP MLA Ian McCrea condemned behind the threat.
"This is an outrageous and deeply disturbing situation. Some people are questioning the motives; there is no justifiable reason or purpose for sending a bullet to a primary school," he said.
"This has put children and teachers at risk as well as causing significant panic amongst parents."
He said those responsible were "dragging the community down and doing a disservice to the children of the area".
"Children should be safe in school. It is a trusted environment. The teachers and staff are dedicated to helping the community and getting the best for the children."
