Burn injuries woman dies

A woman hospitalised with burn injuries in Northern Ireland has died, police said.

Detectives are investigating after receiving a report of an incident at a house on the Glenavy Road, Lisburn, on Tuesday.

Police are still working to establish exactly what happened to the woman, 49, and appealed for anybody with information to contact them.

A 48-year-old man was also treated as a result of the incident but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
