Cannabis haul man tells court of threats
A man who has admitted possessing cannabis worth almost £580,000 received a bullet through the post last week, a court has heard.
Threats were also made against the parents of Noel Phillip Morrison (52) in a package sent to him at Maghaberry Prison just days before he was due to be sentenced for possession of 31kg of cannabis.
Police are investigating the threat, Antrim Crown Court was told yesterday.
Morrison has admitted one count of possession of cannabis with intent to supply, while co-accused Paul Robert Lemon (54) of Seven Mile Straight in Crumlin admitted one count of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.
Morrison is on remand in prison but has an address at Moss Court in Lambeg.
Judge Desmond Marrinan said he accepted Morrison would not name those responsible for threatening him - but could not understand why he would not provide some information to help police.
