Car 'completely destroyed' in Lisburn arson attack

A car has been completely destroyed in an arson attack in Lisburn.

It happened in the Bog Road area on Sunday August 30 shortly after 11pm.

Police received a report that a car which was parked at a house in the area had been set alight - the car was completely destroyed.

Detective Constable Mawhinney said: "The house received scorch damage to the guttering and a window.

"Two men were seen running from the area at the time of the incident.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Lisburn on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
