Car damaged and window broken amid north Belfast trouble: Man (24) arrested

A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a car was damaged and window broken following burglary in north Belfast.

One car was left damaged, while there were signs of blood on the footpath following the incident in the Etna Drive area last night.

A window was also broken at a house in the area.

Detective Inspector Joanne Harris said: “Police investigating an incident at a house in the Etna Drive area of Belfast in the early hours of this morning have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and common assault.

“He is currently in police custody.”
