Cars damaged in lorry rampage

Witnesses are being urged to contact police after a lorry caused damage to a number of vehicles in east Belfast.

Police received a report that a lorry had struck a car on the Newtownards Road before travelling along the Holywood Road, Upper Newtownards Road and Templemore Avenue.

Three cars were also damaged at Kerrsland Crescent, two more on the Newtownards Road and one car at Holywood Arches as well as damage to one car and traffic lights at Frederick Street.

The lorry then struck a wall at Albertbridge Road during the incident on Sunday night.

It is understood a woman aged in her 40s was arrested in connection with driving offences.
