CCTV footage shows moment device explodes at Probation Service Offices in Derry

CCTV footage has been released of the moment a device exploded at the Probation Service Offices in Londonderry this week.

Detectives investigating the explosion at Crawford Square in Derry Monday April 27,  released the footage which shows the moment the device exploded shortly before 11pm.

Detective Chief Inspector James Mullen, who is leading the enquiry, said the footage was being released as part of a renewed appeal for information.

He said: “We remain keen to hear from anyone who was in the Crawford Square area from 10pm onwards on Monday and who saw the device being left, or saw suspicious individuals or activity in the area.”

Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
