Singer Charlotte Church brought her star power to Belfast last night as she presented the MAC International Ulster Bank Prize to Slovenian artist Jasmina Cibic.

The event is the largest contemporary art competition in Ireland and attracted thousands of entries from 40 countries.

Jasmina collected the £20,000 prize sponsored by the Ulster Bank for her short film entitled 'Tear Down & Rebuild', which features a passionate debate among four women.

She said: "It's my first time in Belfast and it is a wonderful city. The MAC shines a light on art and this prize helps celebrate the importance of arts and culture globally."
