Children are unharmed after a shooting at Craigavon house
Two children have escaped injury in a gun attack on a house in Craigavon.
A shot was fired through the kitchen window of the house in the Drumgor area shortly after 10pm on Wednesday night.
Six people - four adults and the two children - were inside the house at the time.
Ulster Unionist MLA Doug Beattie said he was seriously concerned by the incident.
"This is deeply worrying news," he said.
"A family home, with children upstairs in bed, was attacked in the hours of darkness.
"We again are seeing the use of firearms on the streets of Craigavon, and we could well have been facing a fatality here this morning.
"We cannot allow this behaviour to prevail in our society, in Craigavon or indeed anywhere else."
DUP MLA Carla Lockhart also condemned the shooting.
"This is a shocking attack where once again firearms have been used on the streets of Craigavon," she said.
"It is vital that the community works with the police service to bring those responsible to justice.
"Those behind the incident clearly have no regard for the lives of anyone living in this neighbourhood or indeed anyone in the wider Craigavon area."
Police have appealed for anyone with any information about the shooting to contact them.
