Church's fundraiser for 'Rachel's challenge'

Published 21/05/2009 | 12:13

Crescent Church on University Road is holding a fundraiser for ‘Rachel’s Challenge’ at 8pm next Tuesday, May 26, with The Harvesters and Pastor Bill Dunn, and a guest singer.

There will be a freewill offering on the night. Any cheques will be payable to ‘Rachel’s Story’.

Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.

Her acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America.

Rachel’s Challenge will be coming to a school near you in 2010. Powerful video/audio footage of Rachel's life and the Columbine tragedy motivate students to positive change in the way they treat others.
