Co Fermanagh man Caolan Winterson who drowned in the US was "gentle giant"
Mother pays tribute to her son who drowned in Massachusetts
A 23-year-old man from Co Fermanagh has drowned while on an internship program in the US.
Caolan Winterson from Derrylyn had moved to Boston to work for Invest NI - just days after his birthday.
It's understood he was pulled from a swimming pool at a house on Saturday, before being taken to hospital.
He was later pronounced dead.
His mother, Mary, described her son as a "beautiful, handsome, six foot six - lovely fella in every way".
"He loved Boston. He went out last year on holiday to Boston, New York and Las Vegas and just fell in love with Boston, and decided then he would go out for the year," she told the BBC.
Mrs Winterson said the family had been left "devastated and heartbroken".
