Co Tyrone house attack 'could have been fatal'
A family from the Travelling community could have been burned to death in a petrol bomb attack in Co Tyrone, a Sinn Fein MP has said.
The family were not at home when the attack took place in the Inishmore Park area of Coalisland at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
Condemning the attack, Mid Ulster MP Francie Molloy said: "The fact that a family could have been in this particular house and could have been burned to death – we could be facing a situation of multiple deaths."
Mr Molloy said the living room had been engulfed in flames.
A PSNI spokesman said scorch damage was caused to a window of the property.
Three men who are suspected to have been involved in the incident are believed to have made off in a white car along the Washingbay Road.
Detectives at Dungannon police station are appealing for information.
