Cocaine-fed dog Milo gets loving new home
A dog that was fed cocaine is now enjoying a new lease of life after being rehomed.
The terrier was in a terrible state when police handed him over to Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary, near Antrim, last July.
The PSNI suspected he had been fed drugs. Horrified staff found out later he had been fed everything from prescription drugs to cocaine.
They nursed him back to health and with help from Assisi Animal Sanctuary in Co Down he is now with loving owners, who wrote to Crosskennan recently.
"He's now called Milo, and is the best wee dog!" they said.
"He can be nervous, which is why I think there was neglect or physical abuse beyond what we already knew. But he's such a wee dude.
"We were never small dog people until he chose us and now we're totally won over."
