Colin Murray completes Belfast mankini run challenge in aid of Frame Football charity
Broadcaster Colin Murray bared almost all in a dash across Belfast on Boxing Day after living to regret an ill-advised tweet about his beloved Northern Ireland football team.
The international side's amazing feat of qualifying for the European Championships for the first time left Murray ruing a rash Twitter moment when France 2016 was still but a dream.
He tweeted: "If Northern Ireland qualify for Euro 2016 I'll run thru Belfast in a green mankini. Without any shame whatsoever."
The Talksport presenter and former Match Of The Day 2 host stuck to his word on Saturday. Murray and supporters took on on the early-morning challenge with him in aid of charity, all wearing either green bikinis or mankinis.
"I had two options," said Murray said before the event.
"To do it at 4am on my own like a coward or pull on that mankini loud and be proud."
Murray tweeted later: "Done! I'd rather be a man of my word in a mankini than a fully dressed bottler! Ha ha!"
All proceeds from the event are going to Frame Football in Northern Ireland, which brings children with physical disabilities together to play an adapted game that suits their needs.
By midday on Saturday Colin and the gang had already raised over £5,000.
Information on how to donate is available on Colin's Just Giving page.
