Collin Road reopens after fatal crash - five others taken to hospital after Ballyclare collision

A man in his 50s has died and five people have been taken to hospital following a serious three-vehicle collision on the Collin Road in Ballyclare, Co Antrim.

The B94 incident happened near the junction with the Braepark Road.

The man was named locally as Kenny Wright from Ballymena.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said that three fire appliances attended the scene.

Ulster Unionist councillor David Arthurs tweeted: "Thoughts and prayers with the families of those caught up in this accident".

The road was closed for much of the day, it has since been reopened.
