Consumer watchdog chief quits
Antoinette McKeown has announced that she is stepping down as boss of Northern Ireland's Consumer Council after four years in the job.
She will be replaced by an interim chief executive, Aodhan O'Donnell, who was previously the watchdog's director of policy.
Ms McKeown, who assumed her post with the Consumer Council on July 6, 2009, is soon to take up a new high-profile role as head of the Sports Council for Northern Ireland.
Speaking yesterday, on her last official day as the organisation's CEO, she thanked her staff for their support, friendship and advice during her time at the helm of the company.
"I have enjoyed every minute here and I have learnt so much," she said.
