Couple flee arson attack on home in Co Tyrone
A man and a woman have escaped an arson attack in Co Tyrone which caused damage to the front of their home.
Firefighters were called to the house in Killymoon Crescent, Cookstown, yesterday.
The couple, who were inside the property at the time, were not injured.
However, significant damage was caused to the house, which was targeted shortly after 4.30am.
Sinn Fein councillor John McNamee said it was the area's second arson attack in three days.
"It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed in these attacks," he said.
"Whoever carried these out was intent on causing serious damage."
