Could it be all over for Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid?

It was set to be one of the biggest weddings of the year but it has been reported that the former Friends' star and Snow Patrol rocker have ended their engagement.

The American actress and singer from Northern Ireland were set to wed in Ireland or LA by the end of the year.

Reports from Hollywood Life suggest that Johnny has moved out of their Malibu mansion  and that the pair are believed to have quietly split up a month ago.

In August, Courteney said she was in "no rush" to marry.

She said: "Johnny and I are still in the planning stages, although Coco seems to want to be wedding planner and has taken over/

"We're in no rush but we'd like to do it some time soon... More so for Coco, who can't wait to be a bridesmaid."

The pair met through their mutual friend Ed Sheeran in 2013 and got engaged in 2014.

And the singer was set to play a key role in the ceremony.

Courteney told The Sun: "We are certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us. I can't imagine him not playing something at the wedding."

"It'll be a musical night."

Courteney who has 11-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette also previously revealed her daughter was likely to perform at the wedding.

“I could request something, but I actually wouldn’t have a choice. That kid loves to sing. Everything from Barbra Streisand to Cee Lo,” Courteney told People magazine.

“She’s actually really, really talented. Coco sang a song for the film I directed called Just Before I Go. And she’s amazing.”

Since her relationship with Johnny who hails from Derry, Courteney has become more involved in the music world and has recently directed the new music video for Kodaline's song Love Will Set You Free.

The couple are yet to comment.
