Courteney Cox's ex David Arquette 'to give her away'
Northern Ireland rock star Johnny McDaid's wedding to Courteney Cox later this year may be a bit unusual... her ex-husband will walk her down the aisle.
Websites in America are reporting former Friends star Cox wants her former husband David Arquette to 'give her away' when she marries the Snow Patrol musician from Londonderry.
"Courteney has asked David to walk her down the aisle at her wedding," an insider told Closer magazine.
"Her father passed away in 2001 and she's been telling friends it feels natural for David to give her away given how close they are and how happy they've been for each other to move on.
Cox and Arquette married in June 1999 and had a daughter, Coco Riley Arquette, in 2004. They split in 2010 and finalised their divorce in May 2013.
The insider added: "Courteney gave Johnny a list of heartfelt reasons why she wanted David to walk her down the aisle, and now he has a deeper understanding of their relationship."
McDaid began dating Cox in late 2013 and they announced their engagement in June last. At the time Cox and McDaid revealed the news simultaneously, tweeting the same selfie along with the captions: "I'm engaged to him!" and "I'm engaged to her!"
