Craigavon explosive device is made safe
An explosive device has been discovered in a residential area of Craigavon.
Army ammunition technical officers who attended the scene at Carrigart Manor yesterday made the device safe.
PSNI inspector Leslie Badger condemned those behind the foiled attack.
"This is a residential area and we are all extremely thankful that this device was detected and that no one was killed or seriously injured," he said.
"The consequences had this device detonated do not bear thinking about."
Upper Bann SDLP MLA Dolores Kelly said children could have encountered the device. "This is in an area where there is a primary school and which is a heavy residential area."
