A crossbow has been fired at two men in a van at a petrol station in Carrickfergus.

At approximately 5.15pm on Tuesday, a masked male armed with a crossbow discharged a bolt towards a black Renault Traffic van in the forecourt of a petrol station on Prince Andrew Way.

Minor damage was caused to the vehicle.

Two men in the van were not injured but minor damage was caused to the vehicle.

Detective Constable Loreen Glenn said: “We are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who may be able to assist the police investigation in any way.
