Custody visitors needed
The Policing Board is recruiting a number of custody visitors in the Belfast and Down areas.
Custody Visitors are volunteers from the community who make unannounced visits in pairs to police stations to check on the rights, health, wellbeing and conditions of people who are being held in custody. Acting Chair Brian Rea said: “Custody Visiting is an important part of the policing structures in Northern Ireland and is also vital in ensuring public confidence in how the police treat people who have been detained in Custody.”
Young people are particularly welcome to apply.
