A doctor appealing her conviction for assaulting police after a date rape drug was found in her system has had her case put back again.

Judge Philip Babington said the appeal by Dr Eireann Kerr (32) from Marlborough Park South in Belfast was becoming like "a revolving wheel".

Kerr was convicted of four assaults and resisting arrest in Derry's Strand Road police station after a Christmas works night out on December 13, 2013.

She was convicted even though the court was told that there were traces of the date rape drug GHB in her system and that it was believed her drink had been spiked.

Yesterday Derry Crown Court heard the defence was writing to the prosecution service on yet another matter.

Adjourning the case until Thursday, Judge Babington said that he wanted the matter dealt with.
