David 'The Hoff' Hasslehoff is in Belfast as one of the drivers in the Gumball 3000 rally, which boasts some of the world's most expensive and rare cars taking part.

The popular actor stunned onlookers when he turned up to Titanic Belfast on Sunday lunchtime  as the cars marshalled in the city to give people a chance to see the cars and meet the drivers.

The 63-year-old was more than happy to meet and greet those who had turned up and happily posed for photographs with his fans.

American rapper Eve and DJ Afrojack are also competing along with retired Formula 1 racing drivers David Coulthard and Jean Alesi

The rally started off from Merrion Square in Dublin.

Belfast was included as a pit stop before the drivers and their cars make their way across the water to Edinburgh.

But the competitors will drive through 11 countries before they  go over the finish line in Budapest on May 7.

Channel 4 Googlebox favourites, married couple Leon and June Bernicoff, were also spotted down at the Titanic enjoying the family event. The popular couple, who had tweeted that they were off on a mini-break, also called into St George's Market as well.

While the actor and singer seemed in fine form in Belfast, he was said to have partied in famous Dublin nightclub Lillies Bordello after his appearance on the Ray Darcy Show on RTE.

He sang a hearty version of 'I'll Tell Me Ma' on the show before partying  into the early hours of the morning, performing a rendition of the Baywatch classic 'I'm Always Here' in the nightclub.

The former Baywatch star revealed he picked up the words to the popular Irish song when he saw a performance by Irish-American band Flogging Molly at Coachella, a festival flourished with Hollywood A-listers including Kylie and Kendal Jenner and Brooklyn Beckham.

“I was at Coachella and I saw Flogging Molly, you know them? They were singing this song and I learned the words for tonight. You guys will know it,” he said.

The actor also opened up about his relationship with twin duo Jedward, who he dubbed ‘The Aliens’.

“I was in New York City one day and I’m driving down the street doing a promotion for this show Hoff The Record. I was walking down 58th and Broadway and I go ‘Hey Jedward. It’s Hasselhoff’. They came running over and asked me if I could get them tickets to the EMAs which were held in Belfast. They’re good guys.”

The Hoff was attending a launch party for Gumball 3000 and posed for selfies with eager fans  at Lillies as he soaked up the atmosphere.

He is spending the Bank Holiday Weekend ito take part in celebrity motor rally Gumball 3000.

Drivers from more than thirty countries will take part in the race with will display a vast range of vintage classics to hypercars including Aston Martins, Jaguars, Rolls Royce and Bentleys to name but a few.
