Detectives from the PSNI have revisited the scene of a serious sexual assault in south Belfast last month.

The female victim was attacked in the Upper Malone Road area on Wednesday, September 16.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was assaulted by a man as she walked along a path leading from the Upper Malone Road to Ramore Park at around 10.30pm.

The man is described as being around 5ft 10ins, in his late teens, of thin build, and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.

Police revisited the scene last night between 9pm and 11pm to speak with passers-by who may have been in the area on September 16 and who may have noticed suspicious activity.

Detective Sergeant Gary Chambers said: "I would appeal to anyone who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives at the Rape Crime Unit at Ladas Drive on 101 or telephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
