Distillery Court shooting: Man shot in Belfast attack 'seriously ill' in hospital

A man is said to be seriously ill in hospital after being shot in an attack in west Belfast.

The incident happened on Friday morning in the Distillery Court area.

The man has been taken to hospital and police are investigating.

Unconfirmed reports say he was 27 and shot at least four times.

He was taken to hospital.

Sinn Fein MP for West Belfast Paul Maskey condemned the shooting.

He said the man was seriously ill in hospital.

He Maskey said: “I absolutely condemn the shooting of a man in the Grosvenor area of west Belfast this morning.

“Those responsible need to taken off the streets.   

“Anyone with any information must bring it forward to the police.”
